Miss, Ms or Mrs?

This topic came up during one of my lunch time conversations with my colleagues soon after my marriage.

The difference between a Miss and a Mrs is very clear but Ms. to me is still a gray area so I decided to google this and this is the answer I got.

Miss is the formal 'title' for a female child until the age of 12 - OR for a woman who has never married.

Ms. is the 'title' for a majority of divorced woman but in the U.S, Ms, is the generic term to use when referring to a woman that you know nothing about, particularly in the business world.

Mrs. is the formal 'title' for a married woman.
