This day marks a new beginning.
The day I took on a new status.
The day I became a Mrs.
The day I took on my husband's name.
Woke up bright and early at 5.15am and we headed down to the studio to get my makeup and hair done. My cousin,W and her boyfriend, I, were the designated photograhers for the day.

Tools of the trade
My MUA trying to conceal all my blemishes and pimples
Makeup done .. Having a breakfast break before getting my hair styled
All done.. J took this picture. I love how he managed to capture the chandelier in this pic.

My MUA finished by 9am and we made our way down to Parkway Parade to collect the cake and reached the hotel by 9.45am. The weather was starting to turn bad and it was drizzling by the time we reached the hotel. Thank god we did not book the poolside for our ceremony if not everyone would have been drenched. The vendor was still setting up the the chairs and flowers when we reached so we checked into our room first and changed into our gown and suits. Y and C reached then and they were such great helps in helping me into my dress and carrying things up and down to the room.

My pretty bouquet of red roses with white pearls with my rings

Back in the boardroom, my mum helping to set up the reception area.
Finally, a pic of the bride and groom
My chinese wedding shotglass favors. I chose this over the western wedding shotglass because it fits my theme of red, white and black.
The buffet area. There was aot of food left over. Love the mushroom soup best.
Solemnisation table. With the chairs in white seat covers and red sash.
Solemnisation table centerpiece following the theme with red and white flowers.

The JP was slightly late. But we managed to start in time. Dr Phua was one humorous guy who managed to get my guests laughing through most of the ceremony with his mix of english, chinese and hokkien.
No view of the sea due to the bad weather.

See how happy J is taking photos with so many pretty girls.

It was a memorable event. And I am glad that I insisted on having the solemnisation on a separate day from the AD.
