In Memory of May Leong

Last night at 9pm at NUH a friend of mine passed away at the very young age of 29 jus less than 1 mnth short of her 30th bday. Although i'm not close to her but there was a time when she really helped n guided me alot. A great gal with a big heart always ready to help n share ur joys n sorrows.

May, i really appreciated ur help n guidance during those days when i was unsure bout the choices tt i have made. U'll be sorely missed my dear friend.

Finally .. Freedom!! Almost ..

Yup. I attended my last examination at NTU. Hopefully. *cross fingers*

I'm having mixed feelings now.

On one hand i'm glad that all the examinations, tests, projects and assignments are finally over. But on the other hand i'm sure gonna miss the days tt i've spent in NTU.

Gonna miss the lunches we have between lectures at the benches outside LT 6, the mad rush during registration of subjects and the gossiping before n after lessons ...

After the presentation on the 10th, i'll have to enter the workforce.

No more flexible timing where i can go shopping or movies during the aftns on a weekday when the prices are much cheaper and there are no crowds.

I noe i'm very contradicting but i act enjoy sch life jus tt i hate the examinations, test, projects n assignments and the constant cash strapped condition.

But come to think of it joining the workforce i'll still have projects n assignments too. Well .. not gonna think so much le.

Gonna enjoy watever free time i have now.

Got a dive trip coming up tentatively on the 25th of May n hopefully a trip up to Genting with Jos n Joyce n maybe another trip to KL with Cindy.

Kenneth has also got a 4/2 gathering planned for the 30th of April at Pan Pacific. Looking forward to tt too.

A break from studies ..

I've been a naughty gal today. Shld have been studying at home instead of going out. But i really cant conc le .. Met Fiona, Clarice n Wenfeng at Taka and went to Pasta Cafe for dinner. I had the Slipper Lobster Pasta again. I noe .. I'm a boring person .. But if u look at it in another way it's called 專一 lor .. Hurhur .. Anyway, we had a very filling dinner. Ended up at Esprit at Wisma cos Clarice wanted to get a cardigan but in the end no stock in the size and colour tt she wanted. Ended up me n Fiona got a polo tee each as there was a 50% discount on the second piece. By the time we finished it was already 9.30. Time doesn't seem to pass so fast when i'm studying. Haiz. After tt we went down to the Haagen Daz at Centerpoint for dessert. Our std order there is the CHOCOLATE FONDUE .. Luckily there was one more left when we reached. Chatted awhile then sent them home. Realised tt its really been quite long since we last came out n jus sit n chat. Enjoyed my few hours of freedom today. Gonna have to make up for wat i shld have covered today. Going back to my books le .. Nitez .. Hope u guys have a great weekend ..

FINAL PAPER ON MON!!

I was supposed to blog this last night but then when i almost finished typing the post my screen suddenly hanged and the post got deleted. And i was soo tired cos i had only 2 hrs of slp in the aftn n did not get any slp the night before so i decided to jus forget bout it n go n slp. I've just spent the whole sat morn flipping thru the papers and sending out resumes. Hopefully will receive some replies from the companies soon ...

Finally adv biomat is over and i'm left with 1 more final final paper on mon and the FYP presentation on the 10th of May. The paper today was ok but i could have done better if i had been able to slp the night before instead of tossing n turning in bed. In the end couldn't really concentrate on the paper. Haiz. Anyway its over n the possibilityof failing is quite low so i'm not going to worry bout it. Gotta focus on the polymer physics paper for mon. Gonna meet Yingmei after the paper. Hopefully can catch the Korean show 200 pounds Beauty.

I was hoping to catch at least 4 hrs of slp before going for tuition at 7.30 last night BUT .. BUT .. Someone called me jus after i posted my entry and told me tt she could have tuition yest aftn instead of today. So i ended up getting less than 2 hrs of slp. Was totally shag yest after 3.5 hrs of tuition .. Luckily both of them didn't give me much probs yest. Look at my 2 angels hard at work..

Bought this pink angel phone charm from cindy's relative. Nice rite. I also bought a purple one for my mummy.

Finally the adv biomat is cleared. Shld have been able to do better but couldn't slp last night thus wasn't able to concentrate fully today. Will tell more tonight. Gonna have to recharge again .. Nitez ..

I'm still so freaking tired!! Couldn't slp just now cos of the hacking going on directly above my room. Damn. Of all the times they had to start hacking today. Tot they already finished renovations the other time le dunno now do wat again. Although they have already stopped but i cant possibly slp now rite .. Wait at night how to slp. Even a pig like me also cannot manage it. Arghh. I'm so irritated now.

This morn some coward called me n then 'cupped' the phone. Think i dunno who u r issit?? I noe ok. I may seem blur but i very alert one ok. Idiotic coward!!

Feel better after letting things out. Just need an outlet for my frustrations.

My old calculator is working again .. Wasted money buying a new one .. Nonetheless i've gotten a approval sticker for my new calculator in case the old one decides to act up again ..

Today's paper was ok lah .. 4 choose 4 .. Some qns dunno how to do .. Shld get +ve number dunno how i ended up with -ve ans .. Haiz .. Anyway QC is finally over and i am going to take a nap n recharge before tackling my Adv Biomat which is on fri morn.

Had MOS for lunchie again .. Sort of a reward for working so hard .. Hee

Sunday burnt studying for QC

Feel so tired after mugging for the whole aftn.

Met Jos at SK n went for lunch at Yoshinoya before settling down at Starbucks to start mugging. It was then tt my trusted calculator died on me. Of all time it had to give up on me now. When its my final sem. Cant even 'tong' for another week. Had to go n buy one new one in the end. Now got no approval sticker. Die liao lah. I bought a similar model. Got some diff but at least its similar enough for me to get used to it quickly.

Finally got down to packing my table so that i got a place to study.

Although i just packed it for CNY but this is the result after less than 2 mnths.

It's not as neat as it shld be .. Have to get some drawers from IKEA to put my knick knacks in. It gets so dusty when my stuffs are outside like this.

Went down to Fishermen Scuba this aftn to arrange to take the specialty course after my exams. I'll be taking the Deep water and Night diving courses. Will be heading out for M'sia on 18 May. Soo excited!! I'm soo looking forward to the trip. We'll probably be diving in Pulau Aur or it'll be another Live-On-Board. I'm sure it'll be another fun packed trip. Now u noe y i got no mood to study le mah?? Haha

The Joys n Frustration of Tuition

*Jiang Jiang* I bought these for Casper yest to 'sia' him to concentrate on his work during tuition. Meiji Pucca!! Nicer than Hello Panda cos amt of choc cream in Pucca is definitely much more than tt in Hello Panda. Its a must try. Have to think of ways n means to bribe him. Haha. But i really enjoy teaching him cos he's so cute. He'll always tell me stories bout his cousin Eugene, Qiyang kor kor and Qiyi kor kor. Haha. Then i'll alwayz have to tell count to 3 and at the count of 3 he'll start doing his work again for like 30 secs then the cycle starts again. This will go on for the next 2 hrs. Its the same with my Miss Chong. Another story teller. If i dun stop her she can continue talking for the whole lesson. She'll alwayz call her pet bird, Guna, to come and disturb me during the lesson. I got bitten by it jus now. Soo painful!! But i gotta admit tt its cute lah. Two things Miss Chong n Casper got in common is tt both of them like to bargain with me lah. I'll say "Ok, we'll do english today." and they say "Dun wan. I wan to do maths." and when i wan to do maths they'll wan to do something else. Haiz. I noe tt they do this on purpose lah. Cos i'm good to bully mah. Sad. The second thing they got in common is tt during the lesson they'll say "Can rest?? I very tired. Feel very sleepy." but then once the lesson ends they'll be wide awake. Wat to do. I also feel the same way when i'm studying so cannot scold them. Haiz.

An Ultra Long Entry

Finally i'm back to the blog-o-sphere after soo long. Was at Yingmei's place MJ-ing with her bro n sis-in-law the whole of last night. Was nursing a freaking headache thru-out the whole game. My head is still throbbing even as i'm typing. Met her for shopping yest aftn n we combed Bugis, MS and PS. I bought a top a skirt n pair of shorts .. So happy .. ended up she only got a belt although she was the one who wanted to buy clothes. Haha. We ended up spending more time on food then on shopping. :p That's so typical when we meet up. Haha. We live for food!! We were bored after tt so i suggested mj-ing if her bro n sis-in-law were free. Turned out tt they were n we went down to Bukit Merah Central to pick them up from work then we headed back to their place. Played 2 rounds n ended only at bout 5.30 am. My dad called while i was on my way home n i kana scolded when i got back. Whatever. Anyway i got no sch today wat. I'm bracing myself for more nagging tonight. Sianz ..

Haven been getting much slp tis past easter wkn. Thurs morn woke up at 4+ to go Guang Ming Shan pray to my father's father then Fri woke up at 2.30 am to go CCK to pray to my mother's father and mother's brother then go to Sime rd to pray to my mother's father's mother. I always look forward to the one at Sime rd cos its in the forest and every year, it's always an adventure trying to find my mother's father's mother's grave. This yr we went in before the sun came up so it was an added challenge. Everything looked the same in the dark. But in the end we managed to find it. After Sime rd, it was down to Sin Ming rd to pray to my mother's mother and mother's mother's mother. We finished praying quite early this yr cos we managed to avoid the jams at Jalan Bahar and Sin Min rd. But they have decided to start this yearly affair at 4.30 am from now on ... Pengz ... We then went down to the Fortunate Restaurant at Toa Payoh Central for Dim Sum breakfast .. I simply love their scallop porriage ... It was soo tasty .. I want to have it again ... (I apologize for the confusing relationships .. but tt's how we explain to the younger ones who's who ..)

Sat i went for the Ettusais Spring/Summer workshop with Cindy then we went shopping. I finally bought my watch. Yippee. Actually wanted the Seiko black n purple one, u noe the one in the adverts that Yang Qian Hua's wearing. But the straps were too short and it looked weird on my wrist so the salesman recommeded another one to me. A white Sovil et Titus piece. The design's quite simple but i loved it on sight so i got it although it was the last piece. Cindy said tt i was very 衝動 but i disagree. If i don buy then wait go elsewhere dun have le then i regret even worse ah .. I'm not regreting my decision. I'm LOVING my watch. Luckily i didn't get the white GUESS watch the other time. Anyway, when we were not shopping, we were eating. Lunch was at Prima at Centerpoint, they serve wonderful Hainanese Chicken Rice but their prices r a but higher than the usual FC prices. But i still think that its worth it. High tea was at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe at Cine where i had my usual Iced Ying Yang and Bo Lo Pao and Cindy had her Hot Ying Yang and fried carrot cake .. The carrot cake cannot make it .. I still prefer the one at the Crystal Jade Palace .. Their carrot cake is yummalicious n not forgeting their Hak kow with fresh fresh prawns and their red bean pancake .. Jus the thought of it is making me hungry. We then had dinner at at Pasta Cafe at Taka B2. I had the Slipper Lobster Pasta and she had the Seafood Tom Yum Pasta. Both were wonderful but Tom Yum with pasta was a bit weird. Wat i like bout the tom yum was tt it was not spicy. Jus perfect for someone like me who doesn't appreciate spicy stuffs. This entry is turning out to become a food entry .. Haha ..

Handed in my 61 page FINAL FYP REPORT last tues. Whew!! Felt so lost when i completed my draft report a few wks back. After labouring over the project and the report for the past 9 mnths, it felt so strange when i suddenly had so much time on my hands n did not have to worry bout the report. Didn't noe wat to do with all the tim on my hands. BUT, i've now got used to it n am enjoying myself. Shld be using all this free time to start mugging for my final exams but i just really hate studying. :p Exams start on the 18th and ends on the 23rd. The 23rd seems so near yet so far. I cant wait for exams n my FYP presentation to end .. I'm so looking forward to the trip after presentation. Although we haven really decided on where to go, I'm definitely going out of Singapore. Even if its jus to M'sia.

Rapheal was in town 2 wkns ago for some meetings with the IRO ppl n the next batch of GSS students. We met up with him on Sun for dinner at the Crystal Jade Kitchen at taka n bought him bak kwa to bring back to France. We ordered the set dinner but it was way below std. So disappointed in the food. Anyway i had a great time catching up with him n with the rest of the gals. It was a pity that some of them could not make it. Its been so long since we met up. Come to think of it, its going to be a yr since my France trip. Really miss those times we had there. Getting lost in Troyes n Compiegne, the freaking cold the first 2 wks in Troyes ( Rapheal told us tt it would be hot so we didn't pack enough thick clothes, n we reminded him of tt n he looked so cute when he gave us the guilty look .. Haha ..), the cold cold day on the lake rowing the boat in our shorts with Rapheal looking on happily dressed warmly in his windbreaker and long pants, the train n accom bookings with Steph n Sarah, the travelling after the programme .. Ahh .. It was a really great 6 wks .
